I am just.....me. I am a wife to a wonderful husband. We just celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary. I am a mom to 3 wonderful little girls. I'll call them K1, K2, and K3, the numbers correspond with their birth order. I have 2 spoiled cats and a new spoiled rotten black lab puppy that we adopted from a rescue. I love my life.
In 2004 I reached my weight loss goal of 125lbs by doing low carb. My all time high was 198 pounds. I am 5 foot 2 inches tall. While doing low carb I damaged my health. In reality, I only lost the weight I did cause I exercised to death. I cleaned houses 6 hours a day, I went to curves 6 days a week and I ran 3 miles every single day. As soon as I stopped the exercise, even though my diet didnt change, I gained weight back.
In 2005 I developed palmoplantar pustular psoriasis. It is an autoimmune disease. No doctor could tell me why I got it or how to get rid of it. Pills and bad, dangerous pills were my only "hope" to maybe help. Not cure it. I have since cured it.
I follow the basics of the McDougall plan. It is not a diet in the sense of I do it until I lose wieght then eat crap or in the sense that I restrict calories and starve all day long. It is an eating plan that millions of people eat all over the world.
It's basics are starch based with added fruits and veggies, no oil, no animal products. I do not call myself vegan. Saying I'm vegan only tells one what I don't eat not what I do eat. After all, oreos and Pepsi are vegan foodstuffs but NOT health food.
